In 1992, he joined the University of Pennsylvania’s Dental School as the Department of Endodontics chair, introducing microscopes in endodontics and founding a renowned Microscope Training Center.
He revolutionized endodontic surgery by developing microinstruments, culminating in his influential book “Atlas of Color of Microsurgery in Endodontics.” Dr. Kim is also a prolific speaker and author, contributing to over seventy scholarly articles and co-authoring the widely translated “Endodontics, a Color Atlas of Dental Medicine.”
Currently, Dr. Kim’s research involves evaluating dental materials using stem cell lines, reflecting his dedication to advancing dental knowledge. His work continues to shape the future of endodontics and the broader dental field.
